Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seems in no mood to back down from his revolt remarks targeting the present Modi government for the state of affairs in the country. At the Bharat Bachao Rally last week he was seen openly targeting the actions of the government by passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill and the motion of the NRC bill.
He also remarked that India is an unsafe place for women, calling it Rape in India, which caused an uproar in the parliament. His remarks about late freedom fighter Savarkar has too not been received in a welcoming way by political parties, especially the new alliance - Shiv Sena.
Setting another inflammatory remark on Monday, Gandhi termed the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens as "weapons of mass polarisation" unleashed by fascists on India and said the best defence against them is peaceful satyagraha.
Rahul Gandhi also expressed that he stands in solidarity with those protesting peacefully against them.
"The CAB and NRC are weapons of mass polarisation unleashed by fascists on India. The best defence against these dirty weapons is peaceful, non violent Satyagraha. I stand in solidarity with all those protesting peacefully against the CAB and NRC," he said on Twitter.
