The evangelical pair who were famed exorcists and demon hunters had created the Conjuring universe with many fans loving the horror stories based on true incidents. Lorraine Warren passed away this week and the Conjuring tales have lost their most beloved icon. She will be known to guide the stories to be adapted on to the big screen and giving guest appearances in the same.
The latest adaptation of a Mexican legend about a depressed woman who kills her own children and later haunts other children has been received with mixed response world wide. The Curse of the weeping woman has been inspired by the horrific legend of La Llorona.
The Curse of the Weeping Woman sits at a ‘rotten’ 35% score on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. Director Michael Chaves notes that “We did have some creepy supernatural occurrences,” “Half the crew actually does believe the house that we shot in was haunted, and there might have been something to that.”
While the storyteller gone what will the Conjuring universe survive on in the future, only time will tell. Till then you can hold on to your crosses and watch these movies back to back.
