Maharashtra state has fallen under President’s rule since yesterday; the decision was taken after an emergency cabinet meeting at the BJP center in Delhi. Fresh controversy has been created with this political stance with the nexis of NCP, Sena, Congress and BJP playing the power tussle. Maharashtra BJP, in the meanwhile, has called for a 3-day meet beginning Thursday in Mumbai. The meeting of the MLAs will seek and analyse the current political situation in Maharashtra. Mid-term poll will also be discussed during the meeting.
However, amidst all this it is interesting to note that former CM Devendra Fadnavis had changed his Twitter bio to 'caretaker chief minister' after tendering his resignation to the Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari after failing to determine the impasse on government formation with ally Shiv Sena. The tenure of the 13 Maharashtra Assembly had ended on Saturday evening making Fadnavis an appointed caretaker CM by the governor.
Yesterday, he changed the development on his bio from 'caretaker chief minister of Maharashtra', to 'Maharashtra's sevak' on his personal Twitter handle @Dev_Fadnavis.
The new change came a day after President's rule was imposed in Maharashtra after Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in a report to the Centre stated that the creation of an unwavering government was impossible in the current situation.
